Position Summary
The Outbound Manager manages and coordinates the outbound logistics of an individual client location under supervision of the General Manager. This position participates in the development and implementation of location policies and procedures. He/she partners with current motor carriers and a pipeline of potential motor carriers. This position conducts operational analyses, and audits current outbound procedures to monitor and improve the efficiency of operations and client satisfaction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Oversee the daily outbound operations of a location and its various components, ensuring compliance with company, client, local, state, and federal policies and regulations
Develop or assist with the development and implementation of policies and procedures consistent with those of the organization to ensure efficient and safe operation of the location
Oversee the supervision of personnel including work allocation, training, and problem resolution; evaluate performance and make recommendations for personnel actions; motivate employees to achieve peak productivity and performance
Hold daily stand-up meetings with key stakeholders
Interpret and share location statistics with key stakeholders
Partner with motor carriers
Review and interpret operating information as appropriate; coordinating and developing periodic operating analyses
Provide advice and assistance to top management in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of modifications to existing operations, systems, and procedures
Represent the organization at various community and/or business meetings; promoting existing and new programs and/or policies
Oversee the supervision of up to 2 direct reports within a location
Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
Associate degree in logistics, supply chain, or comparable work-related experience
Directly related management expertise in fiscal services, administration, and human resources gained through either 2-years of equivalent-level work experience or completion associate degree in business management or related discipline
Knowledge of organizational structure, workflow, and operating procedures
Knowledge of applicable legislation, standards, policies, and procedures within specialty area
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
Strong presentation skills to engage with motor carriers, clients, and other stakeholders
Skill in examining operational procedures, formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures
Employee development skills
Motor Carrier development skills
Ability to supervise and train employees including organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
Ability to foster a cooperative work environment
Non-Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The non-essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Speaking with Motor Carriers and checking compliance
Communicating with other departments on updates, meetings, and other as needed
Interviewing and recruiting for Riverstone staff
Other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
Associate degree in logistics, supply chain, or comparable work-related experience
Two (2) years or more of experience in delivery, logistics, or industry-related field preferred
Systems preferred

The employee is occasionally required to maneuver about the work areas and move/manipulate various objects. This position may require extended work hours and travel.
