Scope of the Job:
The Director of Operations will be responsible for managing the entire field team and ensuring operational and fiscal efficiency across all facets of the company, including sales, service, installation, and customer relations. They will oversee seasonal special projects and play a key role in scaling the company's revenue and expanding EBITDA. Reporting directly to the owner, the Director of Operations will have P&L responsibility for revenues between $500,000 and $5 million per year.
Responsibilities:
Manage the entire field team and ensure operational and fiscal efficiency.
Oversee all operational facets of the company, including sales, service, installation, and customer relations.
Lead seasonal special projects related to the company's growth initiatives.
Collaborate with the owner to achieve consistent 2x top-line revenue while expanding EBITDA.
Dispatch technicians, write sales quotes, sell products, and manage supplier relations.
Train staff and handle customer conflicts to ensure exceptional service delivery.
Implement world-class leadership training and peer mentoring programs.
Communicate effectively through in-person meetings, phone calls, texts, and emails.
Qualifications:
3-5 years of business leadership experience with P&L responsibility for revenues between $500,000 and $5 million per year.
3-5 years of experience in the garage door industry.
Demonstrated track record of servant leadership.
Strong interpersonal and intercultural skills.
Proven ability to lead teams and drive operational excellence.
Willingness to travel as needed.
Bachelors degree discouraged. Rather, demonstrated entrepreneurialism is preferred.
