Position: BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT REPRESENTATIVE

Location: 3306 Centiennal St.

We are seeking a qualified Business Development Representative to join our team and grow our business in the western Michigan market by seeking new business opportunities, contacting and developing relationships with potential customers and closing sales.

To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience developing leads and meeting sales quotas. You will use your communication skills to cultivate strong relationships with customers, from first contact, through closing sales and post-sale customer service. If you are motivated and results-driven, and enjoy working in a team environment, we’d like to meet you.

Ultimately, you will grow our prospect and customer base, increase sales and contribute to GO Riteway’s long-term business growth.

Responsibilities:

Business Development Representatives are responsible for prospecting, quoting, closing sales, and maintaining/growing their customer accounts.

  • Become knowledgeable about all vehicles, available services, DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, safety protocols and other requirements that apply to the services we provide.
  • Proactively research/qualify leads as sales opportunities and develop new business in the Western Michigan market
  • Develop and execute a market-specific sales plan including prospects, target customers and sales goals 
  • Meet or exceed defined KPIs
  • Contact potential clients through emails, phone calls, networking, social media and other methods
  • Use consultative approach to identify client needs and suggest appropriate services, customize transportation solutions, to increase customer satisfaction
  • Present GO Riteway to potential clients professionally and knowledgeably
  • Build long-term trusting relationships with clients
  • Report to the Sales and Marketing Director on (weekly/monthly/quarterly) sales results
  • Stay up-to-date with new products/services and new pricing/payment plans.
  • Serve as a consultative resource to customers regarding service offerings, market trends, industry standards and effectively provide quotes considering all variable factors.

Requirements: 

  • Proven work experience as a Business Development Representative, Sales Account Executive or similar role
  • Hands-on experience with variety of sales opportunities, from one-time events to long-term contracts
  • Track record of achieving sales quotas
  • Familiarity with MS Excel (analyzing spreadsheets and charts) and Power Point
  • Understanding of sales performance metrics
  • Ability to deliver engaging presentations
  • Experience with sales/operations software

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in transportation (people/customer service) and/or travel industry
  • Familiarity with computer programs for the transportation industry
  • Degree in a relevant field
