Ride North is Hiring a Service Manager Near Escanaba, MI

Ride North is looking for a Service manager to join our upcoming team at a new Escanaba location opening later this year. This person should have prior experience in warranty, scheduling, and personnel management in a dealership setting. Direct Boat, RV, Powersports, or Tractor experience is a major plus. Successful candidate will possess great organizational skills, be a great self-starter, have a mechanical aptitude, be able to work with computers. This job will require great personal and communications skills in dealing with our customers and staff members. We need someone who should like being in control, want to get involved in all processes and not afraid to put their detective skills to the test.

What qualifications you must have:

  • Service Department Management experience
  • Team Management and Decision making skills
  • Highly Computer Literate with experience in mainstream office software products
  • Excellent Customer service and Solid Communication Skills

What you will do:

  • Driving the company culture through his/her actions, which include the workforce planning, hiring, training, counseling, developing of shop managers, service advisors & automotive technicians while retaining employees to ensure the district financial obligations are achieved
  • Develop Shop Managers & Service Advisors to become culture enhancement leaders who produce a consistent 5-star customer experience
  • Ensure the smooth and profitable operation of the Service department.
  • Ensure an adequate number of trained technicians and counter staff are on duty during hours of operation.
  • Maintaining and arranging training, direction and scheduling for all department staff.
  • Responsible for hiring, training, and developing of all shop leadership and minimizing turnover
  • Train, develop and lead Shop Managers and Service Advisors on shop operations, sales, product knowledge, and service techniques
  • Train, monitor, and ensure company safety and security standards are enforced to provide a work-safe environment
  • Directing the proper use, security, care and maintenance of all dealership service equipment.
  • Ensure that all customers are greeted, assisted, and provided the opportunity to receive the maximum and most complete work performed on their equipment.
  • Direct, Assist, and Motivate department personnel to achieve maximum productivity, efficiency and profitability.
  • Manage staffing, billing, and payroll closely in order to meet agreed upon 45% payroll budget.
  • Abide and enforce all dealership policies pertaining to the department.
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with all department heads.
  • It is expected that approximately 80% of your time is spent in shops with the assigned Shop Manager & shop team to maximize results

Job Type: 40-45 hours

Reports to: District General Manager

License/Certifications:

Driver’s License (Mandatory)

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
