Job Summary

**FIRST REVIEW OF APPLICATIONS JUNE 6TH
The Administrative Assistant provides high level administrative support activities to the Community Corrections Department. This position serves as the user administrator for multiple computer systems and databases. The Administrative Assistant processes financial invoices and payments, manages deposits received, processes Revenue Recapture claims, maintains record retention processes, serves as a liaison for IT and maintenance issues, compiles financial and statistical data for departmental reports, serves as the assistant TAC for BCA processes, and reports meeting minutes for the Community Corrections Advisory Board and Rice County Community and Justice Council.
Examples of Duties

  • Serves as the IT liaison and a department contact for computer applications, databases, and record management/retention.
  • Provides administrative support for the department and multiple program areas which includes data entry and analysis.
  • Prepares a wide variety of statistical and financial reports and conducts data analysis for management.
  • Processes invoices and deposits for payment of departmental expenses.
  • Processes payments, completes billing invoices, and files Revenue Recapture claims.
  • Monitors and maintains the departments randomized testing schedule for clients of the department.
  • Serves as the assistant BCA TAC for the department.
  • Performs other duties as necessary.
Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: The job requires two years of post-secondary education in business administration or related field and one to three years of increasingly responsible clerical experience, preferably public sector experience, or equivalent. Must successfully pass a finger-print based criminal history check and maintain annual certification through the BCA.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS: Advance level experience with Excel, Word, Adobe Pro. Experience with BCA and Portals, E-filing, IFS, Revenue Recapture and CSTS preferred.
Supplemental Information
HIRING RANGE / UNION: $25.14 - $26.34 per hour / GU - Grade 8
HOURS: Normal working hours are Monday thru Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm. Position is fulltime, 40 hours per week
