Position Overview: The Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the construction of residential remodeling projects from inception to completion. This role requires strong team-building skills, excellent project management abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership and Development:

• Foster a positive work environment that adheres to the company’s Core Values
• Establish and document all Production SOPS to be used for training references and job performance evaluations
• When necessary, act as a “Player-Coach” in the Project Manager role (see Project Manager Job Description)
• Lead, motivate, and mentor a team of Project Managers, Superintendents, Carpenters, and subcontractors to maximize, job satisfaction, productivity and performance
• Recruit and select new Project Managers, Carpenters, and trade partners as required
• Provide feedback and accountability for all Project Managers, Carpenters, and trade partners
• Act as the Production representative on the company Leadership Team

Resource Management:

• Maintain a balance of Project Manager workloads among all PMs and shift project assignments when necessary
• Manage and allocate in-house carpentry labor among PM teams
• Manage and allocate construction related resources efficiently, including labor, materials, vehicles, and equipment

Quality Control

• Develop SOPs for quality control check points
• Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure workmanship meets company standards and client expectations.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and address any deviations from project plans.
• Estimating, Budget and Project Pipeline Management:
• Review and approve all project estimates created by the Estimator and Project Developer.
• Monitor upcoming projects and forecast staffing needs in advance of work beginning.
• Monitor number of days in construction using Gantt charts or other forms of production monitoring and measure against specified goals.
• Monitor all project budgets and progress to determine areas for improvement and realignment when projects are running into complications.
• Approve and submit all Cost to Complete reports on the 1st of each month.
• Ensure all Project Managers are monitoring project budgets and providing all required month-end ‘cost to complete’ reports.

Client Communication:

• Ensure all Project Managers are following client communication procedures and protocols.
• Provide guidance to Project Managers when handling challenges with client communication.
• Step in as necessary to provide solutions and care for unhappy clients.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years proven experience in management of residential remodeling projects
• Strong knowledge of building codes, construction methods, and industry best practices.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks effectively, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $95,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
