POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: The Facilities Technician is responsible for the preventative and corrective maintenance of the assigned facilities equipment and installations, including but not limited to: Air compressors, air conditioning units, swamp coolers, exhaust fans, fire suppression system, building and grounds, gates, alarm system, water heaters, space heaters, furniture, illumination system, etc.
Frequent activities for this position include.
– Daily walkthroughs by the building to verify everything is operating as expected.
– Inspection and troubleshooting for:
o Compressed air system
o A/C units o Restrooms issues
o Emergency generator
o Lock out Tag out
– Conducts periodic inspections to ensure 5S’s and safety conditions are maintained in the building.
– Coordinates the activities of facilities contractors, ensuring safety compliance and issuing proper work permits, etc.
– Communicate with internal customers verbally and in writing and supports them on facilities needs they may have such as: furniture rearrangement, office relocation, equipment repairs, cleaning, board installation, etc.
– Troubleshoot equipment failures and correct the issues, calling external contractors if needed.
– Ensures building is always showable.
– Operates cardboard baler and compactor.
– Ensures compliance with all preventative maintenance program work orders, either performing the work or supervise external contractors doing it.
– Ensure critical equipment of the building is well maintained and ready to work.
o Emergency generator o Fire protection system
o Etc. – This position will work with vendors to obtain project quotations, bids, validate them, and revise the scope of work, timeline, etc. for all the needs involving facilities support to the building.
– Responsible for the maintaining of spare part stock as needed for the critical equipment and reconciling invoices for proper shipments.
– Knowledge of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Software) and MS Office
