RehabVisions is a rehab therapy provider. We staff and manage therapy departments for healthcare facilities, providing their physical, occupational, and speech therapy services to patients. We assist our partners by providing guidance on how to manage compassionate and profitable therapy departments.

Cariant Health Partners is our travel staffing company. Cariant’s focus is helping nurses, therapist and allied health professionals find rewarding travel careers. Accounting is vital in the payroll, billing and collection process with various vendors.

This position will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the accounting department. They will ensure the Company follows general accepted accounting principles and that our employee state payroll taxing is accurate. The Assistant Controller will be working in a casual and flexible environment.

Additional Responsibilities: 

• Overseeing weekly and bi-monthly payroll and coordinating with payroll service provided for federal, state and locate taxes and year end reporting.
• Maintaining chart of accounts and managing the general ledger system
• Producing monthly financials timely and in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
• Participating in the annual budget process working with operations directors and other department heads to plan.
• Providing information to outside accountants for year-end review/audit procedures and related income tax preparation.
• Managing Accounts Payable and administering corporate card program.
• Managing the Billing department across the different divisions to ensure accurate billing, procedures are being followed and Accounts receivable collections are being made.
• Evaluating cash needs across the various entities and reporting daily activity.
• Understanding the various reimbursements that our customers receive and how that impacts our contract billing – Physicians fee schedule, Cost reimbursement (AHSEA), DRG (Diagnostic Resource Group – Inpatient), PDPM (Patient Driven Payment Model – SNF), PDGM (Patient Driven Groupings Model – Home Health), School reimbursement models, Medicaid models by State where we do business.
• Providing instruction, mentoring and coaching to accounting team and provide regular feedback and annual evaluations.
• Assisting departments on any accounting projects, ad hoc reporting and/or questions.

Qualifications and Benefits

The ideal candidate will possess:

• 7-10 years of proven experience in various levels of accounting or equivalent finance experience.
• Experience managing staff and working in a multi-industry and multi-location organization.
• Ability to identify and prioritize tasks, to make independent judgments and to function with minimal supervision.
• BS/BA or higher degree in Accounting or Finance strongly preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
• Attention to detail with strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Ability to think outside of the box and willingness to challenge conventional thinking.
• MS Office experience with Great Plains software experience preferred.
• Strong multi-state tax knowledge preferred.
