We are looking for a driven leader who has experience in all areas of Accounting. The ideal candidate will support, engage, and collaborate with ownership and operational business partners daily to facilitate multiple growth opportunities.

Primary Responsibilities

· Plan, direct and execute all regular accounting operational functions including month-end accounting, reconciliation, financial statement reporting for internal and external use.

· Ensuring all accounting practices are in compliance with legal guidelines and established accounting principles.

· Prepare due diligence, projecting and forecasting business cases as needed.

· Assist with annual review and coordinate all corporate tax returns with our independent Accounting firm to ensure compliance with GAAP.

· Prepare / review all regulatory filings including sales and occupational tax returns.

· Identify solutions to discrepancies in financial records.

· Partner with Controller and business partners to improve business processes, financial procedures, and controls.

· Performing other accounting duties and supporting team as needed.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, related field, or equivalent experience.

· Five or more years of accounting experience

Preferred Skills / Experience

· Expert knowledge of accounting and financial principles, regulations and best practices.

· Thorough knowledge of applicable financial laws, regulations, and reporting requirements. 

· In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

· Experience with financial accounting statements and analytics.

· Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.

· Proficient with data analysis, critical thinking and problem-solving.

· Experience in project management and working across teams to drive results 

· Experience with accounting software package(s).

· Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables.

· Highly organized and keen attention to detail, accuracy, aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to be decisive and work with little to no supervision.

· CPA or management experience preferred
