SEi is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller to join our dynamic team. As a Controller, you will oversee standard accounting functions. These functions include keeping internal financial records, generating financial reports, processing payroll, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Hire, train, and supervise accounting team members. Use forecasting skills, financial knowledge, and analytical ability to help set sensible company goals and navigate financial issues.

$80,000-$120,000 Salary (Based on experience)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Management of accounting staff
• Ensuring accurate income statement and balance sheet
• Accurately completing the month-end sales report
• Identify and communicate the status of jobs in a timely manner
• Collaborating with Sales and Operations to ensure a positive customer experience
• Must ensure the company is compliant with local, state, and federal government entities
• Evaluating and implementing internal control processes
• Creating and maintaining accurate work instructions
• Maintaining a perpetual 8-week cash flow projection
• Ownership of the monthly close process and all related account reconciliations
• Learn and provide back-up duties for team members who are out of the office
• Timely distribution of 1099’s at year-end
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• High degree of accuracy
• Ability to work independently, prioritize, and manage tasks to meet deadlines and expectations with minimal supervision
• Confident, professional demeanor and ability to maintain composure in a busy environment
• Demonstrated effectiveness in written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong Accounting skills, including treasury, payroll, accounting, A/P, A/R, and credit
• Intermediate to advanced level of Excel knowledge

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Communicates effectively in both oral and written communications. Communicates with supervisors, peers, subordinates and other Company staff; working as part of a team contributing to company goals.

REASONING ABILITY: Job requires being careful about detail and thoroughness in completing work tasks. Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts and draw conclusions drawing upon experience, research and input from peers. This position performs multiple job tasks on a daily basis.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Seeing and hearing: Read documents, computer screen, answer phones, and communicate in person. Manual dexterity: utilizing phone, typing, and writing. Must be able to lift, push, or pull 20 pounds

EDUCATION:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or MBA preferred
• Five years of accounting experience and one year of management experience
