Regions Hospital in St. Paul, MN is looking for exceptional, patient focused Registered Nurses to join our Medical ICU team and make a difference for our patients and our community. We are known for saving lives in our Level I Trauma Center, and our nursing staff are key to the exceptional care we provide each patient. As a nursing professional you will be empowered to manage your clinical practice and working environment through our Shared Governance Model, which focuses on evidence-based nursing practice.
The Medical ICU is a 20-bed unit that has critical care patient populations who require services for medical diagnoses such as respiratory failure, sepsis/shock states, gastrointestinal complications, liver failure, renal failure, pharmacologic overdoses, alcohol withdrawal, psychiatric and endocrine emergencies.
As a Registered Nurse in the MICU, you will be responsible for performing patient centered, safe, effective, equitable, timely and efficient patient care based on the specific needs of the patient populations served, communicating effectively with patients, families, and the Care Team, participating as an effective unit and nursing department member and establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with other health care team members across the organization.
Work Schedule: 0.6-.75 FTE Night Shifts
Required Qualifications:
*Degree in Nursing
*Licensed as a registered nurse by the State of Minnesota
*CPR for the professional rescuer or BLS for healthcare providers
Preferred Qualifications:
*BSN/MSN strongly preferred and generally expected that BSN/MSN is obtained within 5 years of hire
*One year of acute care RN experience is strongly preferred
*ICU RN experience is strongly preferred
