Job Description

Regions Hospital in St. Paul, MN is looking for exceptional, patient focused Registered Nurses to join our Emergency Department team and make a difference for our patients and our community.

The Regions Hospital Fellowship Program is for RN's who have a minimum of 12 months of professional nursing experience in a non-level 1 Emergency Department or inpatient hospital setting. The Fellowship Program is designed to provide additional classroom training in specific areas of ED/Trauma care while working in the Emergency Department as a staff nurse. The training will take place over a 12-month period. Available schedules will be .5-.7 FTE, on Nights (11p-730a). The next cohort will start May 2024. Interviews will be held in April 2024.

Our Emergency Department (ED) is comprised of 50,000 square feet of clinical space with 55 treatment rooms. An additional 8,000 square feet houses the resident room, library, conference space and administrative offices. It also includes private rooms, in-department radiology suite, discharge pharmacy, waiting room and triage area, employee lounge and locker room, and five care areas (pods), including an 11-bed care pod for our crisis/behavioral health patients. It is designed to treat patients in acuity-based care pods. You will find yourself in a fast-paced environment with over 90,000 ED visits per year. Join our team and make good happen!

Work schedule:Flex schedule,11 PM to 7:30 AM, including every other weekend rotation.

Required Qualifications:

  • Licensed as a registered nurse by the State of Minnesota.
  • One year of recent ED / ER, Critical Care, or ICU RN experience is required.
  • Completion of an accredited associate’s, bachelor’s, or master’s degree program in Nursing.
  • Certifications:
    • BLS for healthcare providers and ACLS are required through AHA.
    • NIHSS is required by time of hire.
    • TNCC and either PALS or ENPC - ability to obtain by time of hire.
