Reach High Consulting is Hiring a Program Assistant (BCBA Supervisee) Near Bloomington, IN

This job is located in-clinic in Bloomington, IN. The primary directive of the Program Assistant role is to support Program Management and the implementation of treatment under the supervision of Clinical Program Managers (BCBAs).

Reach High's hours are 8:15AM - 4:45PM. Our clinical session hours are 8:30AM -4:30PM.

Assistant Program Manager Eligibility

Candidate with MA/MS in Applied Behavior Analysis:

  • Certified as a Registered Behavior Technician through the BACB.
  • At least 1 year of experience implementing Applied Behavior Analysis under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (2 years preferred).
  • Completed Masters Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis.

Candidate currently enrolled in MA/MS Applied Behavior Analysis program:

  • Certified as a Registered Behavior Technician through the BACB.
  • At least 1 years of experience implementing Applied Behavior Analysis under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (2 years preferred).
  • Completed at least 1 semester/term in a Masters Degree program for Applied Behavior Analysis.

*Eligible to receive CPR/AED certification upon hire.
*Eligible to receive Professional Crisis Management (PCM) certification after 3 months continuous employment contingent upon training class size.
*Must obtain BCBA certification within 6 months of meeting all testing requirements set by the BACB.

Essential Duties

Program Assistants must be able to perform the essential duties of the position either with or without reasonable accommodations.

  • Timely arrival and completion of scheduled therapy sessions. Prompt and dependable in-clinic attendance is essential to ensure quality care and consistency of therapy for our unique clients.
  • The ability to speak fluent English is essential to communicate with our clients.
  • The ability to assume and maintain a variety of postures and motions (kneeling, squatting, crawling, sitting, standing, running) for extended periods of time, and to pick up to 50 lbs without additional support, are essential to engage with our clients as well as to ensure client safety.
  • The ability to adhere to all requirements and expectations of the BACB's Ethics Code.

Clinical Duties

Protocol Implementation and Support

  • Complete all duties required as a Registered Behavior Technician, including direct therapy implementation (billing 97153).

Administer and Support Client Assessments under BCBA Supervision

  • Administer and conduct annual VINELAND-3 assessments under the direct supervision of the BCBA utilizing the company-provided online tool.
  • Assist with re-assessments as requested using Reach High approved assessment tools: PEAK, VB-MAPP, AFLS, ABLLS-R, EFL.

Data Sheet Development and Protocol Management

  • Conducts audits of protocol instructions and datasheets within Central Reach for adherence to company policies and best practices regarding learning tree development and management.
  • Assists under the BCBAs direction with editing and revising Behavior Intervention Plans within Central Reach.
  • Assists BCBA with ensuring appropriate targets are available within Central Reach for RBTs to implement all active protocols, and skill acquisition programs.
  • Assists BCBA in ensuring that all maladaptive behaviors or prioritized behaviors are pinned and available in Central Reach for each assigned client.

Supervision of Treatment Implementation

  • Maintains current knowledge of all treatment modifications and protocol requirements for each assigned client.
  • Observe protocol implementation with each RBT as assigned on a bi-weekly basis, provide modeling and additional instruction as needed.
  • Provide direct observation and support for professional crisis management and high magnitude and novel maladaptive behaviors for assigned clients, as requested.
  • Review client data for probable errors in the collection such as the unusual duration for behavior data, or unusual changes in the frequency of behaviors to confirm data accuracy and individual staff training opportunities.

Clinical Documentation Expectations

  • Review and audit at least one session note completed by each staff member as assigned on a weekly basis.
  • Review and audit at least one parent note completed by each staff member as assigned on a weekly basis.

Clinical Collaboration and Staff Training

  • Develop training content and activities as requested in collaboration with the clinical team. Develop training materials as requested for training sessions including but not limited to, presentation slides, worksheets, videos, and other materials needed to conduct role-playing activities and practical exercises.

Administrative Duties

Administrative Documentation and Reporting

  • Reports any issues or complaints shared with them to the supervisor within 24 hours of the incident or reportable offense.
  • Reports any client-related complaints, or issues shared with them to the supervisor within 24 hours of the incident or reportable offense.
  • Complete Incident Reporting (Staff and Client) using the practice management system within 1 hour of the incident occurrence as directed.
  • Responsible for tracking and maintaining 5% supervision BACB requirement.
  • Responsible for submitting all requested supervision documents on time (ex: BACB monthly/Final Verification forms)
  • Responsible for notifying the supervisor 30 days prior to the RBT certification renewal deadline.

Workspace and Station Management

  • Ensure PA workspace remains in compliance with company workspace guidelines as stated in the employee handbook.

Scheduling and Staff Management

  • Assist in creating and updating all client appointments within Central Reach based on the Master Schedule.
  • Fluent in the implementation of designated procedures per each client’s medical needs.
  • Aware of each client’s relevant medical history and its impact on the client’s treatment activities.
  • Responsible for conducting direct therapy implementation to cover staff shortages in the clinic.
  • Assist in adding Nap Codes as needed.

Parent Interactions and Family Management

  • Attend and participate in at least 2 parent support meetings for each client on your team on a monthly basis.

And all other duties as assigned by the clinical leadership team
