Job Description

POSITION TITLE: Program Quality Assurance

DIVISION: Program Compliance

SUPERVISOR: Senior Director, Program Compliance

CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt

PURPOSE :

To ensure quality services and compliance with state and federal standards for all Adult Services. Implement overall agency quality improvement measures by providing technical, administrative, and specialist knowledge and skills using auditing and coaching measurement systems throughout Adult Services in order to provide safe and quality programs within the regulations set forth by licensing and funding agency standards.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY :

  1. Complete and submit investigations of Abuse, Neglect, or Exploitation in a timely manner, as assigned.
  2. Assist in ensuring the group homes are prepared for external surveys or audits and know when surveys are scheduled.
  3. Audit specific program areas when needed.
  4. Assist Director, Program Compliance, and Community Living management to complete corrective action as needed.
  5. Verify completion of corrective action items within one (1) month of initial audit.
  6. Provide quality assurance and compliance with client files.
  7. Perform random audits of client’s files in the Provide system.
  8. Perform audits for all programs, including on-site visits where applicable.
  9. Review audit findings with the Regional Assistant Director, Regional Program Director, Senior Director, and Vice President as needed.
  10. Assist programs with preparation for CARF, FSSA, and /or other audits. Ensure files are complete with required documentation.

ESSENTIAL JOB SKILLS :

  1. Excellent and professional communication skills, both oral and written.
  2. Create a culture of customer focus and provision of quality services.
  3. Have own transportation to/from meetings and events in and around the entire service area.
  4. Complete other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Coordinate and manage special projects as needed.
  5. Comply with standards of DSI, APSE, NRA, BDDS, CARF and other governing bodies.
  6. Must possess excellent telephone skills.
  7. Ability to effectively operate equipment such as a scanner and copier and have a working knowledge of computers and related software (i.e. Microsoft Office)
  8. Ability to work flexible, non-standard hours, including occasional evenings and weekends.

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. High School diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
  2. Two years of related experience preferred, or an equivalent combination of education/experience.
  3. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and maintain confidentiality with sensitive information.
  4. Maintain a valid Indiana driver’s license, insurance on personal vehicle (minimum of PLPD with medical liability coverage), and maintain insurability as defined by the agency liability insurance carrier.
