Job Description

The primary responsibility of the Business Development Director is to identify leads, develop and implement account plans; enhance and sustain key relationships which will result in construction management opportunities for the company. The leads and relationships should be used to convert opportunities and meet the annual sales plan.While leading and developing the local Business Development team, the role also requires oversight and effective execution of the business development process.

Responsibilities

  • Translate corporate strategy into a comprehensive business development and capture plan for the FL Gulf Coast region based out of Estero.
  • Identify qualified opportunities through the development of strategic relationships with architects, engineers, developers, and owners.
  • Lead the Estero business development team.
  • Provide thought-leadership in the across targeted sectors and region while maintaining up-to-date knowledge of developments in these areas.
  • Critically apply market and business sectors knowledge toward the formation of pre-qualified opportunity and client lists.
  • Develop and execute against detailed account plans.
  • Actively manage customer relationship management database (CRM).
  • Work closely with Regional GM and COO on strategic planning and execution of business plan.
  • Work closely with National and Regional Marketing departments to ensure thoughtful and specific responses to RFXs.
  • Support our response to requests for proposals and bid opportunities once qualified opportunities have been identified and support preparation of document package for the interview phase.
  • Actively participate in the development and execution of company long-term strategic plans
  • Provide clear communication and analyze data to client and team to achieve project goals
  • Represent us at relevant industry events while maintaining excellent public speaking and presentation skills in client facing and high-pressure situations.

Qualifications

  • Requires a Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or relevant discipline with 7 years experience in the field or a related area.
  • Extensive knowledge of construction markets and business sectors.
  • A thorough familiarity with construction concepts, definitions, practices, and procedures is fundamental.Knowledge of local planning, permitting, and zoning regulations is required.
