Pregnancy Resource Center is Hiring a Director of Development Near Estero, FL

Job Title: Director of Development

Reports to: Executive Director

Job Purpose:The Director of Development provides leadership and direction for PRC’s fundraising and community awareness efforts. This role works with the Executive Director to plan and implement the center’s fundraising, marketing, and community awareness strategies that cultivate philanthropic support to meet the short and long-term needs of the pregnancy center. This position plays a crucial role in building donor relationships and expanding the organization's donor base. All activities shall be consistent with the mission and goals of the organization and shall reach individuals, churches, corporations, and the broader community.

Key Responsibilities

Fundraising

  1. Develop and execute an annual fundraising plan in collaboration with the executive director to meet annual fundraising target
  2. Plan and ensure execution of all special fundraising efforts such as the Lifeholder Circle Dinner, Breakfast with Life Champions, Walk4Life, and Time with Tamra.
  3. Plan and ensure execution of all campaigns such as Summer Matching, End of Year, and Capital campaigns.
  4. In conjunction with the Executive Director and board of directors, design, implement, coordinate and evaluate efforts in the following areas of fund development: annual giving, major gifts, planned giving, endowment, special events, grants, and other ongoing activities.
  5. Compile, organize, and assess data as it pertains to the annual fundraising plan; report in a timely manner, the monthly and annual progress and effectiveness of development efforts to the Executive Director and board of directors; identify problems in meeting objectives and recommend solutions.
  6. Creatively engage with individuals, businesses, churches, and the broader community with the mission and vision of PRC.
  7. Assist with grant writing, management, and reporting.

Donor and Public Relations/Marketing

  1. Cultivate and nurture relationships with current and potential donors and community churches to establish a more extensive financial base and new opportunities.
  2. Maintain the donor database (e.g., Virtuous) accurately and ensure it is utilized effectively for donor cultivation and stewardship.
  3. Represent PRC at local events and churches, speaking and sharing about PRC’s mission to engage new supporters.
  4. Maintain contact with all financial donors through correspondence and monthly thank you letters.
  5. Develop, implement and host Explore PRC events monthly, along with the Executive Director to share PRC’s mission/vision to potential supporters.
  6. Gather incoming mail and document contributions.
  7. Oversee and schedule Prayer Time with pastors once a month per location.
  8. Oversee Prayer Circle communications.
  9. Organize and oversee media events (WayFM, Moody Radio)
  10. Oversee the Donor Marketing Coordinator with internal and external communications, public and media relations, special events, and marketing avenues including internal and external publications, printed materials, and online presence.

Other Responsibilities

  1. Plans parties/gatherings for all staff and volunteer events such as the annual Fall party, Christmas party, and all staff/advocate training days.
  2. Attend monthly board meetings.
  3. Attend all staff events and meetings as required.

  15. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.
