Reporting to the Director of K-12 Partnerships, the Program Manager develops, implements, and leads the Academy Programs and Concurrent Enrollment Programs. The Program Manager also provides high quality service delivery, coordination, and support for high school outreach and student support.
Essential Duties:
Develop, coordinate, and maintain high school partnerships, academic advising, and support for students enrolled in the Academy for Health and Medical Sciences (AHMS), Somerville Academy for Liberal Arts (SALA), and Thomas Edison Energy Charter School (TEECS) Academy.
Provide leadership in collaboration with administrators of Academies to promote, implement, and coordinate student activities (such as testing, junior orientation, graduation ceremony, information sessions, and other relevant events).
Maintain ongoing communication with high school guidance counselors, supervisors, and college faculty teaching in the Academy programs regarding student progress and provide high-quality advising to students to promote student success.
Chair the Steering Committee for each Academy.
Work with Division Deans and Chairs and high school administration to schedule Academy classes, monitor changes, and review curriculum alignment.
Work with appropriate high school personnel, College faculty, and administrators to facilitate and promote the College's concurrent enrollment program to ensure efficient operation and service to students.
Facilitate, promote, and grow the Concurrent Enrollment Program.
Collaborate with the Director of K-12 Partnerships to develop pathways for students into RVCC's degree and certificate programs.
Register Academy and CEP students during the academic year and meet critical registration deadlines.
Ensure that College guidelines and standards for all college to high school outreach programs are being adhered to and that all documentation required for the program is submitted to the appropriate offices.
Evening and weekend duties may be required such as Academy and Open House events.
Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree required.
Three or more years of experience working in higher education in advising, admissions, college success, or related fields.
Outstanding interpersonal, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
Adaptability skills to be able to navigate an evolving environment.
Experience with integrated database systems and proficiency in MS Office and Banner.
Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task with competing priorities; work independently and in a team environment.
Demonstrated experience with working with high school or college students.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree, preferred.
Community college experience, preferred (college readiness suitable alternative to higher education experience).
