This position pays $14 -$20 hr. Most candidates start at $14 and receive a $1 raise every 90 days based on attitude, promoting of positive culture, performance, reliability, and timeliness. So you can hit $18/hr or more if you are a rockstar. Also, overtime (time and a half) is approved all year long if you choose to work over 40hrs a week.
Responsibilities
- Work with Raw fish, make sticky rice, poke' bowls, and sushi-burritos
- Make Smoothies, Acai Bowls, and other fresh faire
- make almond milk, coconut milk from scratch
- Mix, wash, peel, chop, grind, strain vegetables
- Label stock and inventory all ingredients
- Weigh and measure ingredients to be used
- smoothies, smoothie bowls, soups
- No late nights. Our kitchen closes at 7pm. We are a morning and day time spot:)
Qualifications
- excellent knife skills
- use of prep tools like mandolins, high speed blenders and food processors
- must love music because we jam in the kitchen
- must have a passion for healthy, healing foods
- experience working with fish/sushi is a plus
- must have worked in a kitchen for 2 years minimum
- Spanish speaking is a plus
- you gotta be fast - we are high volume here!
- you gotta laugh and have fun, check your negativity and drama at the door!
- experience with fresh, healthy organic ingredients is a plus
