ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned)
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
None required.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); twelve months CDL driving experience.
CERTIFICATION, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must have current driver’s license with good driving record.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. This position requires the ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiple, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. The ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations is also required.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Experience with WMS is preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee frequently is required to sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear; and use sense of smell. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must be able to routinely lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 75 pounds. Must be able to repetitively mount and dismount various classes of vehicles, including tractor-trailer, as well as forklifts, multiple times per day. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions and vibration. Occasionally, the employee may be exposed to a warehouse space that is not climate controlled. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
