JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Commonwealth Office of Technology (COT) Division of Field Services is looking for knowledgeable Desktop Engineer/Support candidates for the Frankfort area. We are hiring for two separate positions. We need five (5) people for our Coordinating & Routing team and the Hardware Transfer team. The teams could assist one another if needed. The Hardware Transfer team will be handling all hardware transfers, and the coordinating and routing team is responsible for dispatching and routing technicians and work orders. Selected candidates must have a valid driver’s license and be able to lift and carry heavy objects or work in uncomfortable positions for long periods of time. Candidates must also have desktop support experience, such as installing, troubleshooting, and repairing windows-based systems. Additionally, candidates should have basic network troubleshooting skills.

COORDINATING AND ROUTING/HARDWARE TRANSFER (5) POSITIONS:

This position is responsible for dispatching and routing technicians and work orders for COT, which serves all Executive Branch agencies, several County Government offices, and about 32,000 endpoints. This role is vital for the efficient and timely delivery of IT support services. To succeed in this role, individuals need to have excellent customer service skills, proven follow through skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with users, technicians, and management. They also need to have the ability to follow processes and procedures, remain calm in stressful situations, and document each request accurately. Additionally, they need to be able to multitask and prioritize their workload.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $16.50 - $18.00 per hour
