We are seeking a dynamic individual who is motivational, passionate, and fun! We want you to lead our Front Office Team to ensure the effortless and seamless movement of guests in and out of the hotel, and to provide exceptional levels of service throughout our guests' stay.
The Front Office Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the front office guest services team, PBX, and bell staff. The Front Office Manager will assure guest service standards are being applied consistently and that all hotel and department policies and procedures are followed and adhered to.
As our Front Office Manager, you will be responsible for:• Maintaining guest service as the driving philosophy of the hotel.• Personally demonstrating a commitment to guest services in responding promptly to guest needs.• Being committed to making every guest satisfied.• Ensuring all hotel staff, including new hires, know all components of guest services and are trained to meet standards.• Developing added value customer service programs.• Empowering hotel staff to deliver guest service by encouraging and rewarding responsive guest assistance.• Meeting or exceeding hotel guest satisfaction measures.• Ensuring hotel standards and services contribute to the delivery of consistent guest service.• Ensuring front desk staff is trained in all front desk operations, including check-in/check-out procedures, telephone procedures, hotel amenities and computer systems.• Ensuring front desk staff is trained in and follows financial control procedures for cash, vouchers, inventories and receivables.• Producing accurate financial reports on time.• Working with the General Manager and DOS to generate new business ideas to increase sales, set up rate codes and input rooming lists• Managing human resources functions, including recruiting, selection, orientation, training, performance planning and evaluation, pay and reward programs to maintain a qualified front desk work force.• Maintaining a positive, cooperative work environment between staff and management.• Emphasizing employee selection, training and development as a way of doing business.• Ensuring all hotel employees know hotel objectives.• Ensuring personnel files are accurate and comply with both local and federal laws and regulations.• Resolving employee grievances in a fair and timely manner.• Helping develop management talent by acting as a mentor for direct reports.• Ensuring completion of training objectives and development plans.• Knowing local health and safety codes and regulations that apply to the hotel.• Recognizing and corrects potential safety hazards in the hotel, such as broken doors or railings, fire hazards, etc.• Understanding and follows policies and procedures for the hotel’s key control system and ensures others follow them.• Maintaining physical product standards by managing preventive maintenance programs and by scheduling deep-cleaning activities.• Ensuring ongoing staff and employee involvement in preventive maintenance programs. Protects the interests of the hotel during capital projects.• Has acceptable property quality audits.
