Title: Business Development JOB DESCRIPTION Summary/Objective This position is an essential member of our company’s sales and marketing team. This position will play an integral role in the sustainability and growth of the business. This position plays an essential and integral part in our ability to develop and maintain customer relationships that provide business revenue. This position requires exceptional organization and communications skills and an ability to deliver high standards of customer service. Responsibilities Build strong customer relationships and provide excellent customer service Work and collaborate with all members of the sales and marketing team to enhance presence to all public customers and prospective customers Serve as a liaison between clients and internal teams Represent the company in a professional and friendly manner Engage customers from our existing database through electronic and in-person channels Being a leader in communication and articulate customer requests and needs to the team in a timely fashion. Report all customer meetings and findings in the CRM system Report all customer issues with urgency to the account manager and management team to resolve in a timely matter Monitor the team’s progress, identify shortcomings and propose improvements Assist in the preparation and organizing of promotional materials and events Understanding sales contracts and the job life cycle process Assist with RFP’s & RFQ’s including proposals and contracts that accurately reflect the services requested Assist with organization and coordination of event details Attend all varieties of customer events to include but not limited to; golf/sports outings, customers lunch and learns, dinners, co-marketing events, trade shows, and fundraisers Competencies Business Acumen Communication Proficiency Customer Service Highly Organized Time Management Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, tablets, and a CRM system.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position, and regular hours are within standard business hours (7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.) but are often outside of regular working hours to attend events. Minimal weekend work is required, but various conferences and events require weekend hours. Travel Travel is primarily local, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel is expected.
