Responsibilities

• Ensures revenue recognition is consistent with U.S. GAAP, PCG’s policies, and client contracts
• Assists with automating business processes and implementing new tools as needed to manage revenue transactions
• Assists management by preparing weekly and monthly revenue reports
• Processes A/R receipts, researches and reconciles unposted payments in a timely manner
• Processes invoices into accounting software accurately and efficiently
• Prepares revenue, deferred revenue and other revenue related journal entries
• Provides general ledger and reporting assistance to finance staff of subsidiary companies
• Ensures compliance with accounting policies and procedures and recommend accounting process improvements
• Acts as main contact to external auditors for Revenue and AR related transactions
• Prepares ad hoc reports as needed for various groups both inside and outside of Finance
• Acts as first contact for Revenue/AR staff for questions related to proper revenue recognition accounting

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field requiredExperience: 3-5 years of accounting or finance experience; Detailed understanding of revenue recognition principles (ASC 606); Experience working with Workday invoicing and contract setup

• Proficiency in Microsoft applications, especially Excel
• Possess discretion to work with confidential information
• Knowledge of ASC 606 principles and guidelines

Compensation

Compensation for roles at Public Consulting Group varies depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by applicable law, PCG provides the following reasonable range of compensation for this role: $80,000-$100,000 and a potential discretionary bonus of up to 10%. In addition, PCG provides a range of benefits for this role, including medical and dental care benefits, 401k, PTO, parental leave, bereavement leave.
