Position Summary
The Revenue Accountant II will report to the Senior Manager of Revenue Accounting and will support all aspects of the revenue cycle as well as some aspects of pricing.
Essential Tasks

• Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and journal entries for deferred revenue and unbilled receivables
• Prepare monthly revenue reporting and analysis to review and analyze revenue and bookings
• Assist with processing monthly renewals and approval of the respective sales orders
• Tracking and reporting on cancellations and upgrades
• Assist with the processing of monthly renewals and net new contract including tracking in Salesforce and set up in NetSuite
• Assist with monthly provisioning and fulfillment for revenue recognition
• Assist with the development/improvement of new or existing revenue recognition processes and controls through cross-functional interactions with sales teams and managed and professional service teams
• Assist with updating and maintaining the revenue recognition policy memo, such as stand-alone sell in price analysis
• Assist with the application of ASC 606 and company revenue recognition policies
• Assist with the review of customer contracts for proper revenue recognition in accordance with company policy and revenue recognition accounting standards
• Work on revenue team projects and process improvements
• Ensure correct application of internal controls
• Assist with annual audit requests
• Prepare ad hoc requests for data compilation and/or systems implementations

Requirements

• BA / BS in Accounting or Finance degree
• Public accounting experience (external audit experience)
• Revenue accounting experience
• Software industry experience
• Technical knowledge and practical knowledge of revenue recognition standards ASC 605 and ASC 606
• Tech-savvy, strong at Excel - SQL experience a plus
• CPA or working towards becoming a CPA

The pay range for this position is $58k to $82k/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, geographic location, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual bonus in addition to a full range of benefits.
