Position: HR Generalist - Sedalia (FT)
Overview:
- Reporting to the Plant Human Resource Business Partner, the Human Resource Generalist will help to oversee many areas of human resources.
- Responsibilities include hiring, onboarding, training, benefits, policy administration and being a liaison between Employees and Leadership.
- Additionally, this position will support HR projects, as needed.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
- Recruiting and onboarding of new-hires
- Administrative tasks including new-hire orientations, stay/exit interviews, and HRIS data entry
- Be a people leader and and HR Advisor to employees covering policies and employee relation matters
- Monitor the “pulse” of the employees to ensure a high level of employee engagement with a true hands-on approach
- Timekeeping in ADP
- Auditing HRIS for accuracy
- Manage plant leave of absence process, including FMLA, STD, LTD and personal leave
- Creating and maintaining reports impacting key metrics
- Ensure compliance with local and national regulations and employment law
- Maintain relationships with staffing agencies
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Must be a self-starter
- High level of attention to detail
- Knowledge of HR practices and employment law
- The ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Excellent analytical, written, and oral communication skills
- Excellent Follow-up and Problem Resolution skills
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
- Ability to manage priorities and workflow
- Ability to work under pressure and tough deadlines
- Ability to work with all levels of the organization
- Competency in computer applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Email
Qualifications:
- 2 years Human Resource Generalist experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field
Work Environment/Physical Demands:
- Works out of a normal office environment with standard office equipment available
- Will be required to sit, bend, kneel, squat, use keyboard, read, write, and speak fluently
- Employee will regularly be required to lift and carry objects of 10-25 pounds as needed
- Employee will occasionally be required to lift and carry objects of 25-30 pounds as needed
- Employee will be required to work productively and cooperatively in a high-volume, fast paced, highly pressured environment and be able to respond efficiently and courteously to unanticipated problems and crisis
- When travel is necessary, will be exposed to typical travel environment and surroundings
