About The Role

As a DevOps engineer at Proxima, you will be responsible for maintaining and growing our CI/CD infrastructure to support our Engineering team and drive platform growth. You will work closely with developers, QA, and the Head of Engineering to deliver scalable CI/CD solutions to accelerate rates of development and deployment, and improve our monitoring and alerting capabilities. You will build out our cloud services and apps, participate in agile meetings, create support documentation, and lead releases as needed. You will also own core systems infrastructure and collaborate with the team on architectural decisions and direction.

What You'll Do

• Work with engineering leaders to define and execute CI/CD pipelines for existing and future applications
• Maintain and evolve AWS infrastructure built on Terraform
• Take ownership of build tools (Github, Docker, CircleCI) and evolve them as needed
• Collaborate with developers to improve their experience with developing and deploying workloads
• Work with QA to add test automation to our pipeline
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and production support procedures
• Ensure infrastructure is secure, compliant, and well maintained
• Build internal tools to support the engineering team as needed
• Write documentation as needed
• Research, develop and recommend tools that help improve efficiency of the Engineering team

• 5 years of experience demonstrating a track record of shipping consumer-facing applications
• Deep knowledge of AWS and Terraform; in particular VPCs, IAM, CloudFront, S3, RDS, API Gateway, and Lambda
• Experience with either Serverless, the AWS SAM framework, or a similar technology
• Strong knowledge of Git, Github, and source code management and tooling
• Experience with CircleCI, Jenkins, Travis, or similar CI/CD tools
• Basic knowledge of software system architectures
• Knowledge of best practices for software lifecycle and continuous integration
• Self-starter with the ability to provide leadership in a fast-paced team environment to meet goals and deadlines
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent industry experience
