ProSciento, Inc. is Hiring a Human Resources Generalist Near Chula Vista, CA

Southern San Diego Clinical Research Organization seeking Human Resources Generalist to act as in-office point of contact for all managers and employees in Chula Vista, California. 

This hybrid role will spend a minimum 3 days per week in our Chula Vista office, to support employees in our clinic. Our clinic is well recognized for our contributions to research and therapeutic development for diabetes, NASH, and obesity. This is an excellent opportunity for a human resources professional with Life Sciences experience to join our growing team.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of Human Resources experience with solid knowledge of California labor and timekeeping laws.
  • Solid HRIS experience, preferably with ADP. Understands how to navigate and review data from an HRIS system, run reports, and make intelligent observations from people-data.
  • Display well-developed and professional interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels of the firm, and possesses excellent time management and organizational skills needed to prioritize tasks effectively, and handle multiple deadlines.
  • Experience managing all facets of new hire onboarding, welcomes and orients new hires in the Chula Vista office.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with California labor laws is required. Knowledgeable and stays abreast of all California labor law updates and can simplify explanation to managers and employees. Considered the internal California labor law expert who can keep internal HR team updated on key legislative changes.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Possesses a calm demeanor and is proactively knowledgeable about the environment to support the Chula Vista employees.
  • Extremely approachable by employees, has an open-door demeanor and will be seen as a highly visible part of the Chula Vista team.
  • Experience conducting investigations as/if needed.
  • Supports the HR team on other projects as assigned.
  • Improvement-oriented individual. Always looking for a better way to improve processes and bring better solutions and support to our employees.
  • Communicates effectively with 3rd party vendors.
  • Staff training experience is a plus. Has experience rolling out basic training information and initiatives.
  • Bi-lingual in English/Spanish preferred, but not required.
  • Occasional time will be required to work from the Sorrento Valley corporate office.

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of progressive Human Resources experience as an HR generalist.
  • Experience with training and development is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent years of experience.

Responsibilities:

  • As a Human Resources Generalist, you will be the HR partner to the Chula Vista business unit, supporting managers and employees.
  • Understand and interpret/communicate all human resources policies to employees. 
  • Partner with HR team to manage annual benefit open enrollment process and assist with any employee questions and benefit system support.
  • Partner with HR team to manage the annual performance management program for the CRU unit and support employee and manager questions.
  • Liaison with Quality department for all quality related matters including management of CRU job descriptions, people-changes and system updates, management of employee trackers, ec.
  • Manage all new hire onboarding including preparation for new hire arrival, and overall operational preparation and implementation.
  • Manage offboarding including conducting exit interviews, managing all tasks related to employee offboarding and separation activities.
  • Manage all Worker’s Compensation claims and acts as the on-site safety HR point-of-contact.
  • Coordinate and process CRU employee changes including title, compensation and transfer changes.
  • Assist in tracking HR related activity, analyze associate data for trends, gaps, and provide reports/statistics to support departmental goals and initiatives (compliance, turnover, terminations, hires, diversity, etc.). 
  • Assist and coordinate on all Human Resources administrative duties as needed with local support.
  • Assist with onsite training of managers and employees.

Assist with recruitment-related activities specific to scheduling interviews onsite, and overall awareness of all open positions in the CRU.
