Occupational Therapist
At Project Play Therapy (PPT), our job is to help others see and celebrate each child’s unique gifts. We open doors by fostering opportunities for growth and independence through play. We specialize in speech, occupational, physical, and ABA therapy in both school and clinic settings. In addition, we provide school psychological services, counseling, and teletherapy-based services.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE POSITION:
The Occupational Therapist position is a direct service position. The role is expected to serve as an occupational therapist (OT) provider with focus on quality service delivery in our clinic and/or school settings. The OT is expected to use innovation, leadership, and problem solving to engage administration, staff, and other stakeholders in order to provide quality services. The candidate must be motivated to grow with a young, vibrant company, and be energized by ongoing collaboration and the endless pursuit of excellent service. In direct service, the Occupational Therapist is responsible for assisting clients/students in developing their fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living skills to facilitate their personal, social, and intellectual development. In order to respond to the individual needs and abilities of patients/students and families, the OT must work closely with the staff and administration across PPT. This position reports directly to the Clinical Manager-OT /Lead OT.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:_*
Communication & Client Care

• Develop and strengthen relationships with patients/students and families to establish rapport and trust among all stakeholders, and communicate the mission and vision of PPT

• Establish and maintain cohesive communication and excellent service delivery, including in screenings, evaluations, and direct therapy

• Demonstrate best practices, inclusion, problem-solving, and proactive communication

• Work within a team environment that values communication, accountability and collaboration

• Foster positive relationships, care, and support in all client and stakeholder interactions

Duties & Responsibilities

• Participate in clinic and/or school OT service delivery: individual or group therapy both in-person and via teletherapy, evaluation, consultation, case management, and IEP meetings (if applicable)

• Work closely with PPT providers in determining needs at individual clinics, and partner schools as directed

• Design goals and expectations of services in order to effectively execute and meet outcomes, while providing feedback to the leadership team and admin staff

Candidate Qualifications:

• Minimum of Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy

• Tennessee State Occupational Therapy License

• Registered with NBCOT

• Pediatric experience preferred but not required

• Integrity and advocacy skills. Must be comfortable participating in meetings with external partners, internal management and/or other stakeholders.

• Ability to problem solve effectively and expediently to meet and surpass the needs of the patients, families, and clinical leadership

• Able to work both independently and in a team environment

• Strong organizational skills

• Ability to provide service in a way that promotes a culture of community, excellence, and efficiency.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $62,000.00 per year
