Director of Business Development

Warren, MI - Direct Hire

Productive Resources (www.productiverseources.com) is seeking a candidate to be part of our customer's team at their facility in Warren, Michigan. The Director of Business Development will provide significant input and direction for key strategic questions for Oshkosh Corporation. Serving as a strategic thought leader, leading critical strategic projects, and influencing leaders around the company. This role has a meaningful impact on Oshkosh Corporation's future performance.

This is a direct hire position for our customer with the opportunity of professional growth, and additional opportunities within their organization.

Duties:

  • Lead critical projects and initiatives to address key strategic questions or issues for the company.
  • Develop project scope and plan for key strategic projects and initiatives, including deliverables, milestones, and timing.
  • Organize and guide a cross-functional team of leaders.
  • Develop, coordinate, and implement business strategies to align with the company's objectives to drive growth and profitability.
  • Design and lead analysis efforts to identify simplification opportunities and quantify potential impact with support of various functions.
  • Develop recommendations and drive execution of recommendations for areas of opportunity across the business.
  • Provide coaching, direction, and leadership support to team members in order to achieve results.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Development or a related field.
  • Ten (10) or more years of related experience OR Seven (7) or more years of related consulting experience.
  • Five (5) or more years of management experience.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.

Preferred Skills:

  • Military experience in Army or Defense Acquisitions
  • Military tour at TACOM
  • Master's degree in the field or in a related area; MBA preferred.
  • Fifteen (15) or more years of experience.
  • Experience with complexity reduction concepts.
  • Thought leadership, change management, and project management experience.
  • Ability to influence change and build relationships with other business leaders.
  • Ability to conduct executive level presentations and facilitate group discussions to tackle complex problems.
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization and to impact others to move toward consensus.
