Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the sales team to achieve sales targets and increase revenue.
- Develop and implement sales strategies and tactics to achieve goals and objectives.
- Participate in developing and managing revenue and expense budgets for the sales department.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key clients and accounts.
- Identify new business opportunities and develop a plan to capitalize on them.
- Analyze sales data, market trends, and customer feedback to improve sales performance.
- Monitor and report on sales performance, market conditions, and competitor activity.
- Collaborate with marketing, product development, and other departments to ensure successful sales results.
- Coach and mentor sales team members to improve their skills and performance.
- Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and other events to stay up to date on industry developments and to network with potential clients and partners.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Sales.
- A bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
- 5 years of experience in sales, with at least 2 years in a managerial role preferred.
- Solar sales experience is preferred but not required.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing revenue.
- Ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies and tactics.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong leadership, management, and motivational skills.
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
- Knowledge of the sales process and customer relationship management (CRM) software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
