Portland Community College is Hiring an Instructional Administrative Assistant II - Social Science and Ethnic Studies Near Portland, OR

The Social Science and Ethnic Studies (SSES) areas invite applicants to apply for the Instructional Administrative Assistant II position (IAA2) at Sylvania campus. The IAA-2 works with faculty, administrative staff, casual staff and leadership to enhance the student learning experience across the college. They work as a member of a Pathway wide team to perform a range of administrative support duties including schedule entry, purchasing, managing timesheets, report creation, as well as assisting students and faculty. IAA-2s respond to a variety of situations and should have the ability to make sound decisions and seek out assistance from other college staff when uncertain.

Starting Salary Expectations
The first two steps of the range are: $43,310 and $44,610 per year. Higher salary placement may be available based on qualifications, experience and internal equity.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
Work is generally performed in an office environment with frequent interruptions or changes in work flow. Occasional lifting, guiding, or carrying of light-weight materials or equipment may be required. Position involves sitting for extended periods of time while working at a computer terminal. Learned physical skill is required to perform keyboarding and/or ten-key functions.
