Description

SUMMARY:

Regional Sales Leader and Account Management professional to join as part of growing capital equipment organization in semiconductor/compound semiconductor industry. Join a growing sales team and well-cultured company in a profoundly growing field. Strong customer relationship acumen, initiative, and high level of inquisition required to grow client relationships, technical understanding, strategic sales opportunities, and brand recognition. Successfully and innovatively expand market capture across multiple end markets (R&D, Photonics, Wireless, Power-CS, MEMS & Sensors). Support all aspects of account management, channel partnerships and sales growth for expansion opportunities through new, refurbished, and remanufactured semiconductor equipment, semiconductor tools and applications, upgrades, spare parts, education, and service programs to enhance Sales Department efforts, outcomes, and Company revenue.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop, drive, and grow opportunity and sales capabilities within assigned market/territory-base, influenced by end market intelligence, coupled with industry, technology/tool roadmap(s)
  • Analyze, define, and drive product positioning by industry trends and competitive analysis.
  • Develop, drive, manage, and grow market client acquisition for assigned region, drawing from commercially available data and information, as well as recent industry forecasts, customer databases, company profiles, internal intelligence, and the organizations and industry historic data.
  • Organizes meetings at high levels as appropriate between customers, representatives, a Plasma-Therm personnel to close on business opportunities. 
  • Ability to utilize existing, and develop new high-level contacts, at current or target customer accounts within assigned territory and collaboratively support, manage, or lead regional/national sales efforts in united fashion with Sales Department team. 
  • Develops semiconductor equipment product sales strategies and tailored roadmaps for the assigned territory, advancing in new or adjacent markets to deliver revenue growth.
  • Research and share intel on changing market trends, estimating demand and identifying opportunities for teammates supporting other regions or client types.
  • Defines, establishes, and documents individual plans with management for 2–3-year sales planning and execution.
  • Participates in annual revenue budget establishment for the region to include territory, product and market for new systems, spares, etc. 
  • Assists in the review of customer requirements alongside Engineering team and department, to prepare accurate and complete quotations and proposals to fulfill client needs/requests. 
  • Manage and support the Continuous Improvement Process (CIP) for major, multi-site, key accounts.
  • Manages personal business development, public relations, and marketing plan to achieve community engagement and YoY sales growth goals.
  • Interface with past, current, and prospective customers/clients, as well as in house Field Sales Engineering, Manufacturing, Customer Service, and management to gain knowledge and collaborate.
  • Supports field sales when appropriate, in calling on key decision makers, including management representatives at identified and prospective accounts, to overcome obstacles to sales, and coordinate corporate resources to address customer concerns.
  • Escalation Management: Support clint care and project completion through; resolution program design, problem solving activities and subsequent project management efforts, identification of required internal and external resources for project implementation, customer communication/reporting, on-site program coordination and cost control, monitoring, reporting, and review. 
  • Marketing/MARCOM: Collaborate to support/advance public relations, industry association and technical community engagement, branding, digital marketing/sales, and internal/external education. 
  • Technical Marketing: Collaborate to support the execution of case studies, technical white papers, and to promote first article creation and industry community engagement of teammates. 
  • It is every employee’s responsibility to be aware of the applicable Safety & Health, Quality and Environmental Process of the company.

Requirements

 QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Preferred BA/BS within engineering, computer science, mechanical or electrical engineering, business administration, science or physics, material sciences, sustainability, energy, and similar programs.
  • Master’s degree a plus. 
  • Three or more years industry-specific experience, Semiconductor manufacturing experience a plus.
  • Collaborative, communicative, tenacious team player – Hunter/Farmer combination. 
  • Microsoft (MS) Suite knowledge; strong preferred
  • Salesforce, preferred
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, major credit card (for business travel), and passport.

  • Some ability to interpret technical journals and papers, and other related material.
  • Ability to communicate effectively inter-departmentally and externally with customers, and other contacts such as vendors.
  • Ability to compile technical reports and present technical material to internal and external groups including high level management teams
  • Ability to travel extensively (approx. 40% - 70%) as required to support Sales activities for new or prospective business, as well as trade shows, industry meetings, etc. 
  • Financial and Accounting Acumen: Ability to negotiate technical aspects of a purchase (including process specifications, hardware configurations, and commercial terms and conditions) and understand the basics of procurement, supply chain management, shipping and regulatory compliance and complexities.
  • Proficient in Windows-based software (Microsoft Office including presentation/graphics applications)

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • The normal work environment is typical of a business office, manufacturing laboratory, and support areas such as production, test, and stockroom. Work is performed at individual customer sites as required.
  • The incumbent is routinely required to sit, stand, walk, touch, see, and hear. The incumbent may occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds.
  • While performing the regular duties of the position, the incumbent may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, and possible exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals. The incumbent must be able to wear safety equipment and follow safety instructions. Must be able to work on the production floor, the laboratory in the field, or at customer site without physical impediments. Vision correctable to 20/20 and the ability to hear with corrective devices.
