Human Resources Business Partner

Your Opportunity:

You have the opportunity to join a highly collaborative and motivated team and help to build the HR Department and people processes in the real estate technology space. You will lead HR support for our SaaS company Brivity, the “jewel” of our real estate technology platform, our Technology department and Real Estate Services departments.. We are growing and are looking to you as a partner to engage your expertise and experience for key PLACE Human Resources initiatives and to ensure success for departmental stakeholders and their people.

  • Partner with assigned business unit leaders and consult on all talent and HR related activities and situations.
  • Partner with Legal on compliance, benefits and risk mitigation.
  • Further compliance infrastructure.
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
  • Handle employee grievances and disputes.
  • Coach leaders and managers on HR related situations and conversations
  • Execute employee feedback survey, analyze and compile survey results, and collaborate with People Ops on implementation plans.
  • Collaborate with other HR leaders to develop and implement leadership training and employee career paths.
  • Support assigned business unit on goal setting and performance reviews.
  • Coach leaders to have powerful performance improvement conversations.
  • Be an integral part of PLACE’s HRIS implementation and maintenance team.
  • Draft and maintain position descriptions for assigned business units.
  • Partners closely with Executive HR Director on leading policy and procedure development and maintenance.
  • Support the HR team in developing and implementing the company compensation strategy.
  • Support L&D efforts for assigned department and support L&D for all PLACE employees.
  • Hire, train and develop HR team members as PLACE scales.
  • Seek out improvements to efficiency and cost-effectiveness of human resources. programs through soliciting feedback, asking questions and conducting surveys or evaluations. Implement initiatives based on employee feedback.
  • Partner with the HR team to manage all aspects of human resources functions including onboarding, compensation, training, benefits and additional employee services.
  • Ensure adherence to HR policies and procedures.

Skills You Have:

  • Sincere interest in others’ success
  • 7 years’ Human Resources experience
  • 5 years’ Human Resources management experience
  • SHRM Certified (preferred)
  • Background in working with staff and managers from a variety of states
  • Expert in Washington State HR and employment regulations/laws
  • Experience with multi-state employment regulations and laws
  • Experience leading company compliance and policy ownership
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience in leading or support Safety (EHS) functionality
  • Background in Benefits Administration or Management for all types of employee benefits plans.
  • Leaves Management experience
