Job Summary:
We are an independently grown, owned and operated restaurant group, seeking a highly motivated and experienced General Manager to oversee the daily service operations in a busy casual dining destination located in Portland, Oregon .
The General Manager will be responsible for directing all aspects of the NW PDX restaurant, including staff supervision, customer service, and daily financial performance. Our ideal candidate has a strong background in the food industry, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding hospitality to each and every customer.
Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day operations of the restaurant, ensuring smooth and efficient service
- Supervise and train staff members, providing guidance and support as needed
- Maintain high standards of food quality, cleanliness, and safety
- Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and profitability
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders with vendors
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional manner
- Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate goals, expectations, and updates
- Interview, hire, onboard and train new employees
- Ensure compliance with all state & federal health and safety regulations
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a leadership role within the food service industry
- Strong knowledge of food handling procedures and sanitation standards
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proven ability to effectively manage a team
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
- Ability to work consistent schedule, including weekends
- Comfort and competency working in both front and back of house positions
