Today, Piedmont Plastics is currently hiring for a Sales Training Manager. This employee will be responsible for the execution of sales strategies to support the organizational objective to become the most knowledgeable sales team in the industry along with creating and presenting training to sales team members to promote the company’s product offerings and services.

Along with the mentioned duties above, this role will:

  • Assume responsibility for the creation and delivery of a sales training curriculum and written procedures to support all sales training activities
  • Create and deliver sales training with the assistance of Home Office, branch, and regional management for individuals as needed
  • Work with Market Specialists, suppliers, and subject matter experts to create training on selling skills, products, applications, and market specific education
  • Coordinate and evaluate Supplier related sales training on materials and applications conducted virtually or at their respective facilities
  • Work with the Training Content Specialist, keeps all learning management system (LMS) sales training programs updated
  • Operate as the primary sales trainer for the organization and includes other qualified trainers (internal or outsourced) when necessary
  • Ensure all sales training is reported and documented properly to analyze return on investment
  • Be responsible for creating and delivery of training materials such as presentations and videos to deliver to various size audiences either in person or via recording
  • Continuously seek and support new approaches, practices, and processes to improve the efficiency of sales training
  • Help plan and execute sales meetings and Home Office training
  • Create and execute certification programs for sales representatives
  • Travel with Sales Representatives and Market Specialists to conduct sales training for individuals and/or sales teams
  • Collect feedback from trainees and managers on sales training courses
  • Conduct quarterly customer relationship management (CRM) training for new sales team members and those who need remediation
  • With the help of management and the Training Content Specialist, develop and updates sales playbooks utilized by the sales team
  • Plan and execute onboarding training of new Sales Representatives with the skills, tools, and knowledge needed to succeed within the organization and advance towards their goals
  • Keep current on products, services, and key markets to thoroughly train sales staff by working with Market Specialists, managers, and suppliers

To be successful in this position, an ideal candidate will have:

  • A minimum of four years related sales and/or sales training experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to prepare and present complex information to various size audiences (one-on-one and to groups of 200 or more)

  • Familiarity with public speaking techniques, be comfortable on stage, able to lead discussions and listen effectively

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Experience working within a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system
