Phoenix Contact’s IT Team is looking for a Summer 2024 ITCA Service Desk intern to assist with our IT Service Desk with taking calls, emails, and troubleshooting.

Our Summer interns work full time. The intern has the possibility to continue the internship into Fall 2024.

What does a typical day look like?

Covering the Service Desk, taking calls and emails from customers, troubleshooting when needed. When working onsite shadow opportunities and work with the deskside support team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for real-life on-the-job experience. This internship allows the intern to apply the knowledge gained from school to a business environment and learn how IT interacts within a business. The internship also teaches troubleshooting which is essential for any IT career.

Qualifications

• Information Technology, Computer Science, Cyber Security or related major
• Must be student during duration of internship
• IT related coursework

Essential Job Functions

• Must be able to look at a computer screen for extended periods of time (up to 4 hours)
• Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time (2-4 hours at a time)
• Comply with company dress code guidelines
