Our client in Chicago is looking to hire an IT Procurement Specialist. The role is hybrid.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a Procurement Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing the procurement process and ensuring the efficient and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services for our organization. ```Duties:```
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their products and services
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, negotiating contracts and terms
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and requirements
- Analyze data and trends to forecast demand, anticipate supply chain issues, and vaticinate future needs
- Oversee the procurement process from start to finish, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
- Monitor supplier performance, track deliveries, and resolve any issues or discrepancies
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including contracts, purchase orders, and invoices

```Experience:```
- Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management ideal but not required.

-Strong experience with Microsoft Excel required
- Strong knowledge of procurement systems and processes
- Experience in market research and vendor management
- Familiarity with IT sourcing and supplier management
- Excellent negotiation skills and ability to build strong relationships with vendors
- Knowledge of contract management principles
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
- Understanding of supply chain management principles

Pay: $55,000.00 - $71,905.84 per year
