Job Purpose

The NIGP Program Coordinator position is responsible for assisting in the management, support, and sales of the NIGP Code and Consulting Programs.

This position will support the growth of the NIGP Code and Consulting Programs. The successful candidate should have experience in public procurement, should demonstrate active engagement regionally or nationally in public procurement organizations and ideally who has experience with project management, marketing and relationship management. 

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provides administrative support to President of NIGP Code and NIGP Consulting programs
• Pursues sales opportunities thru monitoring sourcing websites and regular outreach to potential public sector clients
• Designs/develops various documents, templates, reports, manuals, training materials
• Schedules meetings, prepares and facilitates various program documents
• Tracks projects, consultants, invoicing/billing for all Code & Consulting engagements
• Responds to NIGP consulting and NIGP Code sales inquiries (emails and phone calls)
• Communicates regularly with clients, potential clients and consultant team membes 

Prepares quotes for NIGP Code potential clients

• Communicates and manages both internal and external project requirements, deliverables, deliverable quality, billings, and consultant team and payments
• Provides follow up with all clients on NIGP Code cancellations, including explanations of Periscope/Code,copyright implications, and license requirements
• Assists Finance and other internal teams on sales activity including pricing, cancellations, billings
• Assists in the preparation and tracking of various reports
• Assists internal Support team on client account information.including updating of internal sales management system, 
• Assists with potential client engagement and closing on new business opportunities
• Markets NIGP Code & Consulting through regular social media engagement and coordination with internal Marketing team and NIGP marketing team
• Develops content for marketing, including articles, blogs, video and other promotional material
• Develops spreadsheets, manuals, templates and marketing material for programs
• Registers NIGP Code and Consulting as suppliers in entity supplier registration systems 
• Manages other duties as assigned by President of NIGP Code & Consulting

Qualifications

Required/Preferred

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• 5 years in government procurement preferred
• Public procurement certification preferred (CPPO, CPPB, NIGP-CPP)
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes and operations within the public sector
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Strong technical skills, including advanced experience with spreadsheets, database, manual development
• Experience with leveraging social media for networking and marketing
• Experience engaging with public procurement professionals
