PDQ STAFFING is Hiring an Accounts Payable Clerk (FT) Near Carrollton, TX
- Facilitates payment of vendors, reviewing invoices and packing slips, and resolving shipping discrepancies. When matching Invoice with GRN, (packing list must be seen), reports price differences greater than 3% to Trey. (If no GRN or packing list is present, requests packing list and works closely with warehouse to make sure we are not paying for goods not yet received) Never skips steps.
- Works off GRN trial balance to clear up unresolved overages and orders that are not completely received.
- Responds to requests for payment from vendors.
- When receiving invoices for payment by email, mail, or other means, promptly prepare for payment by verifying merchandise was received and following the process for matching. Also, Save invoices to the proper folder on the server.
- Gets approval from the Transportation manager to pay all vehicle rental and fuel invoices.
- Ensures outstanding obligations are credited upon payment, identifies discount opportunities.
- Orders office supplies as needed, carefully assessing need.
- Requests and Records Certificate of Insurance and W-9.
- Prepare vehicle rental, repairs, maintenance & fuel invoices for payment, and other non-inventory invoices that need approval from management if no work order is provided.
- Assist upper management with Accounts Payable research and documentation.
- Follow up with shipping discrepancies.
- Process credits to RMA or vendor invoices or promotional credits.
- Prepares payment runs with assigned vendors.
- High School Diploma required - Business or Accounting degree preferred.
- College Course work or equivalent – Certified Accounts Payable Professional (CAPP) certification preferred.
- 3 years of hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software.
- Must have 3-way matching experience.
- Clean background.
