The Role:

As a Sr. Product Manager for PayPal Checkout, you will lead core pieces of the most revenue generating product for the company. You will define strategy, priorities, and deliver best in class merchant and consumer Checkout experiences. You need to have a heavy customer focus, driving outcome-based product improvements with an experimentation mindset. Implementation of a hypothesis-based backlog spanning across multiple teams and geographic locations will be critical to this role's success.

Your role will be responsible for managing and interacting with Sales, Professional Services, Business, Financial, Analytical and Technical stakeholders within PayPal branded experience teams. Your background must be a Product Management lead from a fast-moving tech company with an experimentation culture and mobile experience (app or mobile web) is a must. Your intangibles should include entrepreneurship and being able to thrive and set direction and strategy in ambiguity. You will be expected to understand your product and feature set from both a strategy high and tactical low level. You should be at the whiteboard with your PM and Design teams crafting elegant user experiences and be able to critique engineering and design approaches.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate a long and short-term product strategy to ensure delivery of customer outcomes
  • Identify business opportunities with new product and platform capabilities for merchants
  • Responsible for key feature sets serving 300 M consumers. PayPal branded checkout products are omni channel: web, mobile, devices, etc.
  • Partner with Sales team to identify new growth opportunities for merchants including large platforms like Google, Meta etc.
  • Have an execution bias and deep passion for solving customer problems, specifically reducing friction and reducing cognitive load in customer experiences
  • Have strong communication, listening, interpersonal, influencing, and negotiation skills; able to convey important messages in a clear and compelling manner
  • Execute with excellence in a cross-functional setting, building strong relationships with key stakeholders (data engineers, software engineers, product analytics, merchant tech and other business teams).
  • Deliver results. Set and own business outcomes as it relates to customer experinces
  • Define and measure key performance indicators to evaluate and understand product value.

Requisite Experience:

  • Strong Product Management track record in high-volume, high-pressure environment for top Tech companies.
  • Strong business and technical acumen. You’ll be expected to help define technical requirements
  • Global mindset with ability to build to scale.
  • Deep expertise in mobile user experience, operating systems and delivery platforms.
  • Ability to influence at all levels of the organization and across multiple domains.
  • 7 - 10 years’ experience in Product Management
  • Excellent time management skills with ability to manage a large, diverse set of to-dos – vigorously prioritize, stay on top of multiple work streams, monitor progress, hold owners accountable.
  • Communication style motivated by brevity and purposeful outcomes with experience interfacing with executives.
  • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally when needed
  • MBA or MS is preferred

The U.S. national annual pay range for this role is $107300 to $259600
