Position Overview:

Patriot Freight Group is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Outside Sales Representative to join our growing team. The primary responsibility of this role is to identify and secure new business opportunities within the oil & gas, construction, and manufacturing sectors. As a key member of our sales team, you will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth and expanding our customer base.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prospect and generate leads to identify new business opportunities within the target industries, focusing on companies that require full truckload freight services.
  2. Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to effectively penetrate the market and achieve sales targets.
  3. Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers at prospective client organizations, understanding their transportation needs and offering tailored solutions.
  4. Conduct thorough research to understand industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape, and leverage this knowledge to differentiate Patriot Freight Group and position our services effectively.
  5. Collaborate closely with internal teams, including operations, customer service, and logistics, to ensure seamless onboarding and delivery of services to new accounts.
  6. Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations, proposals, and contracts, highlighting the value proposition of Patriot Freight Group and addressing the specific needs of prospective clients.
  7. Negotiate terms and pricing agreements with clients, maximizing profitability while ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.
  8. Track sales activities, opportunities, and pipeline progress using CRM software, and provide regular updates and forecasts to management.
  9. Represent Patriot Freight Group at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to expand your professional network and promote our brand.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
  2. Proven track record of success in B2B sales, with a minimum of [X] years of experience in outside sales, preferably within the transportation, logistics, or freight industry.
  3. Strong understanding of the oil & gas, construction, and manufacturing industries, including supply chain dynamics, transportation challenges, and market trends.
  4. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients at all levels of an organization.
  5. Self-motivated, results-driven, and goal-oriented, with a demonstrated ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, competitive environment.
  6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) for managing leads, contacts, and sales activities.
  7. Willingness to travel within the assigned territory as required.
