This position is responsible for coordination and administration of day-to-day commercial vessel operations, ensuring compliance with the agreed Time Charter and Voyage Charter terms and with applicable guidelines and regulations. Punctual attendance is especially required in order to overcome time difference.

・Acts as an in house post fixture PIC(Person In Charge) for general vessels operations (roughly 10-20 pre-active/active contracts outstanding contracts)

・Acts efficiently /proactively /cooperatively for vessels' smooth operations to make and/or keep good commercial results and good relationship with all concerned parties.

・Act as general agents for controlled vessels calling in the territory in North to South American countries to coordinate among concerned parties such as the company, vessels, and local agents(roughly 20-30 vessels from Handysize to Valemax vessels).

・Acts as general agents to negotiate and fix agency agreement and towage contract

・Monitors any/all changes of port situation/ tariffs/ restrictions, and keeps the company informed closely.

・Receives/ attends sailing instructions, appoints local agents and coordinates with concerned masters/ agents for optimal/ quickest/ smooth turnaround in port.

・Ensures vessels to load up to maximum intake.

・Keeps the company posted of vessels’ movement/ load and discharging report.

・Keeps masters/the company informed of fresh news/ regulations related to safety navigation/ port calling.

・Attends daily messages/ instructions/ inquires/ requests and checks with concerned parties and sends reply promptly.

・Keeps monitoring ship’s movement, contacts with agents, shippers or receivers etc. Negotiates with concerned parties for the utmost quick dispatch at any port call (which should make sense commercially).

・Contacts with the company or Vessel’s Owners as necessary for documentation, PSC issue and/or any issues.

・Issues Bills of Lading or monitor master’s issuing Bs/L, makes comparison with mate’s receipt, checks port disbursement, sorts them and forwards to the company.

・Sends freight invoice and makes sure that money has been collected.

・Check port information, port charge in accordance with requirements from the company or co-workers in Chartering Division

・Helps translation or checks translation of booklet issued by the company as required.

・Attends meetings with customers, agents or any other parties who are related to shipping as appropriate.

・Assists President, co-workers when necessary/required.

Requirements

• One to three years of post fixture, vessel operations experiences in water transportation industry.
• Expertise in regulations related to marine transportation.
• Bachelor’s degree from four-year college (degree in Maritime study preferred) or equivalent combination of education and work experiences.
