About us

Parkside Station is a small business in Manhattan, KS. Our goal is to immerse our guests in a welcoming atmosphere and to create outstanding and meticulously crafted food using local ingredients and products.

Duties:

- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers
- Take customer orders and provide recommendations on drink selections
- Ensure accurate cash handling and process payments from customers
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area
- Monitor alcohol consumption and enforce responsible drinking practices
- Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food orders
- Assist with setting up and breaking down the bar area for events or functions
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations

Skills:

- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and outgoing personality
- Strong knowledge of various drink recipes and cocktail mixing techniques
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
- Basic math skills for calculating bills, making change, and handling tips
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food service and hospitality industry standards
- Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively with coworkers
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required

Note: Experience in the food industry, catering, or banquet settings is preferred but not required. Retail math skills may also be applicable in handling cash transactions. Pay listed is base pay from restaurant, bartenders will also receive tips from orders they take as well as tip out from servers.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $8.00 - $10.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
