SUMMARY: Applies principles of accounting to assist with various accounting responsibilities including variance analysis, month end close, accounts payable, fixed assets, and hourly payroll.
SCOPE/SUPERVISION: Does not have direct reports.
Responsibilities
*Monthly closing, journal entries and related activities.
*Various monthly and quarterly account reconciliations/analysis.
*Interaction and processing of accounts payable and ensuring controls are met in the proper auditing and accounting for various invoices and check request documents.Focus on ERS implementation.
*Budget review and analysis.
*Process fixed asset capitalizations, transfers, and reporting.
*Weekly processing and oversight of hourly payroll.
*Various monthly accounting duties and responsibilities.
*Special projects as required, including process improvements.
Qualifications
*Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
*One to two years accounting experience preferred.
*Good knowledge of all aspects of general accounting.
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
*Proficient with Microsoft applications (Excel, Access, Word).
*Ability to handle many tasks at a given time and work effectively with others in a team environment.
