Staff Accountant Columbus, OH
Seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join an experienced finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles, exceptional analytical skills, and a dedication to accuracy and efficiency. This role offers the chance to work on a variety of accounting tasks, including but not limited to financial reporting, reconciliations, and budget analysis.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including journal entries, general ledger accounts, and bank reconciliations.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all transactions are recorded and reconciled in a timely manner.
- Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and variances, and propose corrective actions as needed.
- Assist with budget preparation and monitoring, providing insights to help management make informed decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial reporting requirements and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the accounting function.
- Assist with ad hoc projects and tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
