Park Avenue Center provides evidence-based, gender-specific drug and alcohol treatment in south Minneapolis, Minnesota. First established in 1979, Park Avenue Center is a community-based program that proudly serves Minnesota's less fortunate individuals in beautiful settings. Using evidence-based best practices, we have maintained a reputation for the highest quality of services at extremely low rates. Clients we serve typically struggle with multiple barriers including mental illness, homelessness, financial problems, legal issues, and an overall lack of emotional support. Utilizing a multidisciplinary approach, our staff includes Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselors, Licensed Psychologists, Social Workers and a Registered Nurse. JOB SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Executive Director, the Maintenance Manager provides maintenance for all programs and properties. Responsibilities include remodeling and general maintenance of buildings, property grounds, vehicles, and program supplies. Responsibilities also include the supervision of the Maintenance Staff.
II. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Leadership of maintenance staff, including hiring, interviewing and holding staff accountable for performance expectations.
2. Management of all agency properties (programming, administrative, and residential buildings), including but not limited to outdoor upkeep and repairs, including snow and ice removal to ensure a safe environment; indoor upkeep, repairs and remodeling.
3. Management of preventative maintenance schedule, including but not limited to required agency inspections (i.e. boilers, elevators, fire alarms/extinguishers, etc.)
4. Completion or coordination of appliance repairs, furniture repairs, building and housing maintenance projects.
5. Vendor relationship and contract management for outsourced services (i.e. snow removal, pest control, janitorial, etc.)
6. Managing process for ordering and stocking program and housing supplies (condiments, paper products, etc.)
7. Coordination of company vehicle maintenance and repair schedules with the Operations Supervisor.
8. Maintenance and stocking of vending machines several times throughout the week.
9. Accountability for building state and federal safety compliance.
10. Maintains work areas including supply room, garages, and storage rooms.
11. Coordination of all-company meeting and event set-up, help, and tear-down as needed.
12. Attendance and active participation in Operations Department Traction meetings, rocks, etc.
13. Other maintenance related projects as assigned.

Qualifications

1. Experience in building maintenance, remodeling, repair required.
2. Skills in tool use, tool maintenance and job safety required.
3. Ability to effectively supervise, manage projects and juggle priorities required.
4. Proficiency in plumbing, electrical wiring, small and large appliance repair preferred
5. Previous leadership experience preferred.
6. Ability to effectively and proactively lead a maintenance function exhibiting the Company core values.
7. Strong written and verbal communication skills preferred.
8. Ability to efficiently use Microsoft office software preferred, ability to learn efficient use of MS Office required.

Additional information
This is a full-time, benefit-eligible position, working Monday - Friday. Flexible scheduling options are available including working 4-10 hour days with 3 days off each week.
Maintenance Manager annual salary range is $70000 - $80,000 DOQ.
