DPI Staffing is currently seeking qualified candidates for an open Maintenance Technician position at a Minneapolis-based manufacturing plant.
Position: Maintenance Technician
Pay: $22-$25 DOE
Location: Minneapolis, MN
Schedule: M-F with flexibility to work extra hours
General Responsibilities: As a Maintenance Technician, your role is crucial in ensuring production equipment and physical plant facilities remain in optimal condition. Your expertise in maintenance practices and knowledge of production equipment will be instrumental in addressing challenges and maintaining smooth operations.
Specific Responsibilities:
Essential Functions:
1. Service equipment to ensure the safety of all employees.
2. Assist in development and implementation of a schedule for preventative maintenance of machinery and facilities.
3. Provide scheduled and unscheduled repairs of production equipment.
4. Documentation of maintenance functions through the completion of work orders.
5. Design, engineer, and fabricate parts and equipment.
6. Troubleshoot and repair machinery and facility operating equipment.
7. Works independently, efficiently manages time, and uses experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
8. Ensure compliance with work instructions and/or Quality Management System (QMS) procedures.
9. Participates in improvement programs using problem analysis and resolution skills.
10. Employ effective, respectful, and persuasive spoken and written communication skills.
11. Maintain the highest levels of ethics and confidentiality.
12. Maintain a safe work environment for yourself and others including wearing mandatory Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
13. Ensure effective employee relations.
14. Receives daily work instruction from Operations-Gov. Services Manager.
Background/Experience: To qualify as a Maintenance Technician, you need a minimum of 2 years of work experience or technical training in a maintenance discipline.
