Responsibilities of Service Manager:
- Provide excellent customer service
- Hire and train candidates.
- Coaching and helping technicians, foreman and service advisors
- Ensuring that customers get scheduled appropriately
- Let customers know when their truck will be ready
- Develop strong relation with manufacturers and their representatives.
- Computer skills
- Strong communication skills
Qualifications of Service Manager:
- Previous diesel service management experience with proven success
- Ideally started out as a technician, and progressed from technician to foreman to manager
- Estimating experience preferred
- Knowledge of internal shop workings
- Ability to drive an exceptional customer experience.
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
