PTCOA is looking for an IT Support Specialist to help with our growing practice.
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
The IT Support Specialist is the go to person for users’ computer hardware and software needs providing first level support for all PTCOA’s IT infrastructure. The IT Support Specialist is responsible for troubleshooting issues and providing solutions. Beyond day to day the IT Support Specialist will assist the IT Director by contributing to long term projects as deemed by the business.
JOB DUTIES
Utilizes the PTCOA IT Service Desk Request Management System to receive, prioritize, and manage work via tickets and to track time and progress to resolution. Monitors status of assigned active requests, revises priority status as needed; follows up on assigned service requests to ensure resolution; and coordinates and confers with assigned staff on progress and changes in schedule / status.
CORE COMPETENCIES
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS
The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Science with a minimum (2) years work experience or (4) years equivalent certification/work experience. CompTia A certified and CompTia Network Certified is a plus. Must have a working knowledge of HIPAA’s Privacy Rule, audit requirements, and minimum necessary requirements. Certifications from the Foundation of Information Privacy and Data Protection, or a related entity, is preferred, as well as experience in a SQL / .NET environment.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are expected to fluctuate but at a minimum this position will be required to work from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Monday through Thursday) and 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (Friday), and occasionally after regular business hours. Travel may be required.
