Position Summary

Oversees the ordering, storing, receiving and distributing processes of an organization’s products and supplies. Their main duties include controlling the flow of supplies and equipment, tracking, and analyzing inventory maintenance and developing protocols for loss mitigation.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Customer Account Manager (CAM) and Procurement Team to issue Purchase Orders (PO#) for material, supplies, equipment, etc. that is scheduled to be delivered.
  • Obtain and process product orders, including receiving deliveries, verify that all necessary paperwork is present, register them, and distribute packages within the company.
  • Store and keep files / pictures organized for goods received. Handle issues arising in shipping or inventory handling. – Handle issues / investigate discrepancies that may arise with inbound raw materials. 
  • Ensure adherence to environmental management and systems.
  • Communicate to the Customer Account Manager (CAM) when raw materials are not delivered. 
  • Place merchandise in a warehouse or storage facility by packaging, lifting items as necessary, operating forklifts and pallet jacks for large goods.
  • Assist office personnel with final verification of shipping and production documentation before being sent out to be processed. 

Requirements

· Minimum of a high school diploma or GED 

· Good organizational skills.

· The ability to manage multiple projects at one time in an efficient and timely manner is important in this position.

· Good written and verbal communication skills.

· Shipping and receiving clerks need problem-solving skills to come up with ways to improve overall efficiency.

· Ability to sit, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds.

· Forklift Certification (this can be done on-site). 

· Attention to detail.

· Team oriented individual.
